Beau Sumile · Honolulu, Hawaii
Helping Hawaii families pass down financial clarity, not just assets.
I live in Hawaii and work with families whose finances don’t fit in one account: rentals, small partnerships, family property. Some are here; others own Hawaii rentals from the mainland, where general excise tax is owed on the gross rent even in a year the property loses money.
I handle all of it: income tax and withholding, state, federal, and international filings, Hawaii general excise tax on rental income, and coordination of the pieces around them, like estate planning. I maintain a clear, current picture of where each family member stands: income, property, debts, monthly cash flow. And I stay reachable. When something comes up, my clients have a direct line to a person who already knows their whole picture.

I did not read it looking for this, but the lesson I kept was that a chain of command lasts exactly as long as the people holding it. Anything meant to hold a family together across generations has to be written down before the weather turns, and challenged hardest once it does.
